Santa Rosa, California Man, 32, Killed in Las Vegas Rollover Car Accident
LAS VEGAS, Nevada (Jan. 20, 2014) — Maurice Andreas Rucker, 32, of Santa Rosa, Calif., was killed Sunday morning in a rollover car accident on the westbound 215 Beltway near Decatur Boulevard, according to a report by the Las Vegas Review-Journal.
About 7 a.m., Nevada Highway Patrol officers responded to the early morning car accident involving a single BMW that rolled over multiple times.
According to the report, Rucker was allegedly driving recklessly and speeding prior to the collision. The roadway was cleared of debris and reopened to traffic about 10:45 a.m.
Police will investigate the circumstances surrounding the collision to determine liability for the accident and whether other drivers were involved.
“My condolences go out to the family of this young man as they cope with his sudden loss and try to piece together exactly what happened,” said Attorney William West Seegmiller. “Police will compile a report based on evidence and witness statements that will ultimately assign liability for the accident. Typically, this report is available within 30 days of a crash and family members are entitled to a copy.”
